This Privacy Policy explains how GROREST LLC ("GroRest", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit grorest.com or use the GroRest ordering and delivery service.
The GroRest service is currently in development and is not yet accepting orders. Sections describing order and payment information apply from the point the service becomes available.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you create an account or place an order, this may include:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Delivery addresses and any delivery instructions you provide
- Order contents and order history
- Messages you send to customer support
Information collected automatically. When you use the website or app:
- Device and browser type, operating system, and app version
- IP address and general location derived from it
- Pages viewed and actions taken within the service
- Approximate or precise location, where you grant permission, to show nearby stores and enable delivery tracking
Payment information. Card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. GroRest does not store full card numbers on its own systems.

- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve the reliability and usability of the service

Sharing information

- Stores and restaurants receive the details of an order they need to prepare it
- Delivery personnel receive the delivery address, contact details, and instructions needed to complete a delivery
- Service providers that operate parts of the service on our behalf — payment processing, cloud hosting, messaging, and analytics — and are permitted to use the information only to provide those services
- Legal and safety disclosures where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, partners, or the public
- Business transfers, if the business is merged or acquired, in which case information may transfer as part of that transaction
Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the service is used. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described here or to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Order records are generally retained longer than account data for those reasons.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to systems holding personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe link, or by contacting us

Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
